For Australian hospitality operators

Hire on conviction, not CVs.

How Trial works

A workflow built for the way hospitality actually hires.

Applications still come to you the way they always have — Seek, your website, walk-ins, Facebook. Trial doesn't replace your job board. It takes over from the moment an application lands.

01

Applications arrive on autopilot — however they come.

List a Trial-routed email on your online job posts, auto-forward applicant emails from your inbox, or display a Trial QR code at your venue for walk-ins. However an application reaches you — Seek, your website, Facebook, a CV at the counter — Trial picks up the candidate's name, contact details, and the role they're applying for. No forwarding clicks, no spreadsheets, no logins required.

02

The candidate receives a role-specific assessment.

Branded as if it's from your venue. Pre-filled with their name and the role they applied for. Front-of-house specific questions tailored to the role — beverage staff (bartender, bar back), floor staff (host, server, food runner, expediter), café roles (barista, café all-rounder), or management (bar supervisor, restaurant supervisor, duty manager, café manager, restaurant manager).

Not generic personality tests. Ten to fifteen minutes of the candidate's time, structured for the way you actually evaluate someone on the floor.

03

You see a structured candidate profile.

Their full assessment responses, an AI-generated summary, and a recommendation score calibrated for hospitality fit — not generic employability metrics. Sort, shortlist, and decide who's worth your interview hours. The score helps you prioritise; you make the call.

04

Progression tracked through to retained hire.

Interview, trial shift, hire — every stage in a single dashboard. Trial follows up at the ninety-day retention mark to confirm the hire stuck. Your hiring history compounds into a record that gets sharper with every decision you make through it.

Candidate data, handled properly

Your candidate data stays with you.

When an application arrives, Trial forwards the original email and resume to your inbox automatically — and deletes its own copy within forty-eight hours. We keep only what's actively used in the dashboard: structured assessment responses, a summary, and the journey state.

No candidate data hoard. No resumes sitting on our servers. Less compliance exposure for your venue, more trust from the candidates you're trying to hire, better-completed assessments as a result.

Founding venue program

A small group of operators, shaping the platform before launch.

We're onboarding founding venues in controlled waves through July and August. It's a deliberate choice — better to build with twenty operators who give us their honest read than launch loudly into a thousand venues we can't yet meaningfully support.

In return for being early, we ask for your operational reality — what's working, what isn't, what's missing.

  • Direct founder line Twelve months of direct access for setup, support, and product input. You ask, the founder answers — not a ticketing queue.
  • Real input on the roadmap What you ask for in the first six months gets weighed against every other founding venue's input — and shapes what we build next.
  • Controlled onboarding Personal setup of your venue, your roles, your assessment templates. Not a generic signup form — a deliberate, considered start.
Where we are

A deliberate rollout, not a race to launch day.

Phase one · may–june

Expression of interest

Founding venue conversations, ICP refinement, MVP build, legal foundations. We're learning who Trial is genuinely for, and who it isn't.

Phase two · july

Soft launch

Selective onboarding of a small founding cohort. Real workflows, real hires, real feedback. The platform is pressure-tested in operating venues.

Phase three · august

Public launch

Broader rollout, positioned ahead of the spring–summer hiring surge. Founding venue pricing closes; standard pricing applies for new operators.

Tell us about your venue.

Three minutes of detail helps us understand whether Trial is a genuine fit for how your venue hires. Every submission is read personally — not by a bot.

When are you looking to start using something like this?

Your details are held only by Trial for the purpose of founding venue conversations. We won't share them, sell them, or add them to any list you didn't sign up to. Read every word — we genuinely do.

Received. Thank you.

The founder personally reads every EOI. Expect a direct email within five to seven days to set up a twenty-minute conversation about your venue's hiring — what's working, what isn't, and whether Trial is a genuine fit.

Even if it turns out we're not the right tool for you, the call is worth having. We're learning as much from these conversations as we are from the build itself.

Almost there.

We're putting the final touches on the EOI submission pipeline. In the meantime, if you'd like to register interest directly, email hello@hiretrial.com.au with your venue name and a couple of lines about your hiring.

The founder reads every email personally and will reply within a few days. Form submissions resume shortly.
